Year 2 submission for Norwich University of the Arts. The theme that we were given was to create a passageway, with complete creative freedom, so long as it clearly demonstrated an industry standard workflow, hero prop, and the utilisation of trim sheets. For this piece I opted to draw inspiration from the ancient Persian culture, architecture, and symbolism. The structure is based off the Persian Necropolis known as "Naqsh-e Rostam" and the wall carvings were inspired by the ruins of Persepolis, paying homage to both Persian architecture and early Zoroastrian, symbolism and meaning.
